Tree Skirt of Doom, aka 12 Days of Christmas Skirt for my wonderful mother-in-law:
Okay, it's not done yet, and it won't be done for a while, but I'm (almost) half-way done, and that's exciting because I've been working on it since October (ish).
Each section is one of the Twelve Days of Christmas, so it'll be super cute when it's done.
Here's Five Golden Rings:
Four Calling Birds:
Three French Hens (note the little French Flag!):
Two Turtle Doves:
And a Partridge in a Pear Tree:
In the knitting world, I finished this Blackberry Cowl (which is going to be a present, not saying for whom):
I also finished this pair of socks in a discontinued yarn (yay clearance!):
And then there's my favorite. This is a run-through of a shawl pattern that I'll be doing for my bridesmaids! The yarn shop I go to has said that they would custom dye some yarn for me to match our wedding colors, so I wanted to test out the yarn to see if I liked it and how much I would need. I LOVE madeline tosh yarn so much (this is the Norwegian Spruce color way).
The yarn is gorgeous, and I'm super excited. Getting the fabric swatches from Davids Bridal (Apple and Golden) was the first actual wedding thing we've done, so I'm realizing that, after two years of being engaged, we are actually getting married!
What's on the needles now....
Working on the second sock of a simple Bernat Sock Yarn pair...will post photos when it's done. I'm also working on the Tree of Life Afghan to use some of my yarn stash up (my mom found LOADS of this worsted weight yarn at her house, and now it's mine!)
Hope you're having better weather than we are here (loving the tornado warnings here in Alabama!)
